August Snow Closure! 16/08/2011
Tuesday 16th August 2011. Wow, what a year it has been! Earthquakes and weather disruptions again remind us of the power of Mother Nature! This time it has been a polar passage directly channelled up from Antartica, covering much of the country in glorious snow! It may leave us with many beautiful photos, but the havoc it has delivered is most unwelcome indeed. Following on from the snow is the very real concern of frosts which will further complicate the thaw process. Once school is able to open extreme care will need to be taken by students, staff, parents and visitors as we negotiate slippery streets, paths and accessways. Please everyone, keep warm, take care and look after yourself. Cheers Brian Post Quake 22/06/2011
North New Brighton School is safe and sound and open for education.
We are making the best of the Earthquake situation, and although we have had to make some changes, we are fully operational. Staff have worked extremely hard to ensure students are back into full learning and daily routines. These are, of course, necessary to give children a sense of routine and normality. | NNBS PrincipalMr Brian Walkinshaw
I'm proud to be principal of North New Brighton School where we have a great team of teachers and staff and enthusiastic children who thrive in our beach side school community.
